How do I change the letterbox color on Comcast digital cable?
I have a Hitachi tv, HD of course, and the DVR dual-tuner digital cable box for Comcast. For some reason, all the HD channels come in with a gray letterbox as opposed to black. Is there a way I can change this? The gray letterbox is distracting and I’d like to switch it to black so it could help blend easier.
The gray is there to protect your TV from burn-in. Your HD should be full 16:9 screen. Either your cable box or TV settings are wrong. You should only be seeing this from 4:3 TV or DVDs that are wider than 16:9. Even in those case3s, you probably have settings that fill the screen, although with some distortion or overscan.

These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expr… |
