Durable Round

Is it normal for a ProV1 golf ball to wear out after only a few holes? ?

My prov1’s are always nicked and scratched after a few holes. I know this is due to their soft cover but for that price wouldnt you think they would be a little more durable? I might be better off buying a much cheaper ball if its going to at least last a whole round.

To be honest, All of the premium balls, to a certain degree, have this same problem. It is more of a problem for those who are hitting full wedge shots into the green than those hitting say a 5 Iron…but with the softness of covers (though todays balls are a lot more durable than the old balata balls I played when I was young) leads to a lot more scuffing. Your choice in a ball is obviously personal…..play what you like and can afford.
