Is my typewriter broken?

The typewriter for my work is a Lexmark IBM Wheelwriter 3000. It runs perfectly fine with the exception that it won’t go past a certain point on the left. I can move it all the way to the right but not left. Is it broken or have I just accidentally set the margin at the wrong spot without realizing it?
It’s my work that makes me use it. Not me.. I have a Windows 7 laptop. I’m very up-to-date with technology. lol. My employer just likes some things done with a typewriter because it’s easier for what I do.

It’s most likely that you’ve somehow changed the left margin setting. To change and set the left margin,
make sure the carriage is as far left as it will go,

find and press the “MarRel” (margin release) key,

press the Backspace, or left arrow, key until you’re at the place you want to set the left margin,

then find & press the “LMar” key to set the left margin at the new location.

Now you should be good to go.

If that didn’t work, then you may have a problem with the typewriter.
